Dr. Sanjay Kumar is a distinguished figure in the realm of neurosurgery and spine surgery, boasting over 30 years of invaluable experience. Renowned for his expertise in micro neurosurgery and minimally invasive spinal surgery, he stands as a beacon of excellence in his field.
He began his academic journey at Patna Medical College (MBBS), followed by an MS in General Surgery from Pt JNM Medical College, Raipur. He then pursued an MCh in Neurosurgery at Grant Medical College & Sir J. J. Hospital, Bombay.
Dr. Kumar started his career as a Lecturer in Neurosurgery at Grant Medical College & Sir J. J. Hospital, Bombay, and later worked at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, gaining significant experience.
In 2004, he founded the Department of Neurosurgery at ARAM Memorial Weavers Hospital (Apollo Group), Irba, Ranchi—marking a major step in expanding neurosurgical care in rural India with the launch of a dedicated operation theatre and Neuro ICU.
In 2014, he established the Institute of Neurosciences at Bhagwan Mahavir MEDICA Superspecialty Hospital, Ranchi, where he served as Medical Director and Vice Chairman, transforming the institution into a leading center for neurocare.
In 2022, Dr. Kumar joined Paras HEC Hospital, Ranchi, as Medical Director, playing a pivotal role in its development.
He now serves as Vice Chairman of Neurosurgery and Director of Neurosciences at Curesta Group of Hospitals, Ranchi, ensuring 24/7 neuro admission services at Curesta (Dipotoli).
Dr. Sanjay Kumar's areas of expertise include head and spinal injuries, brain hemorrhage, congenital malformations, brain and spine tumor surgeries, skull-base surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, stereotactic brain surgery, and stroke management.
Dr. Patrick Prabodh Minj is a highly respected senior consultant neurosurgeon based in Ranchi, India, with over 16 years of experience in the field of neurosurgery.
